TAKE AN ACTIVE ROLE IN MANAGING YOUR PRESCRIPTION

Make sure you are getting Teva's COPAXONE®

Generic options for COPAXONE® are available. In some situations, it is possible that you may be switched to a generic daily 20 mg glatiramer acetate or 40 mg glatiramer acetate at the pharmacy. While some might look to generic medicines to help save on out of pocket costs, the majority of people taking Teva's COPAXONE® 40 mg—more than 70%—pay less than $10 per month out of pocket.

Speak up, your voice matters

Be proactive about your prescription. Talk to your doctor and pharmacist about your prescription for Teva’s COPAXONE®, and learn what to look for when you receive your medication. Be prepared to talk to your doctor about Teva's COPAXONE®. Download this guide.

Here are a few quick tips to help you be proactive in this process:

Take action

  • Ask your doctor to include specific language such as "Dispense As Written" (DAW), "Do Not Substitute," "No Substitution," "Brand Medically Necessary," or "Brand Necessary" on every one of your COPAXONE® prescriptions including refills. This helps ensure that your prescription will not be switched from COPAXONE® to a generic at the pharmacy without your doctor's permission and notice to you
  • There are many ways that Teva's Shared Solutions®, which has been supporting people living with RMS for more than 20 years, can help you find affordable access to Teva's COPAXONE®.

Make yourself familiar with Teva's COPAXONE® packaging
