Eileen

Who
My name is Eileen K. and I am from New York. I am married and have 2 children. As a family, we have found activities that interest everyone, allowing us to spend quality time together. We actively participate in hockey in the winter months and boating in the summer. I also have a jet ski that I ride on the Finger Lakes in New York. I have been practicing dental hygiene for more than 27 years.

When
I was diagnosed with RRMS in September 1998 and began COPAXONE® therapy in November 1998.

What happened
When I was diagnosed, my neurologist presented the ABCs, which seemed really overwhelming to me. I asked him which therapy he would take if he had MS, and he recommended COPAXONE®. That was enough of an endorsement for me. I did some investigating on my own and got started on COPAXONE® right away.

What's up
I appreciate the tolerability of COPAXONE®. I would never be able to handle working while not feeling well. I have easily incorporated COPAXONE® into my daily life. I recently saw my neurologist, and we compared MRI scans from my diagnosis in 1997 to recent ones and we saw no new lesions, no active lesions, and possibly some reduction in lesion sizes. That was all I needed to know that I was on the right track and encourage myself to keep going.

Words of wisdom
Keep believing in yourself and listen to your body. Managing my RRMS with COPAXONE® helps to keep me believing in myself and helps keep me going so I can keep up with my busy family, which is a priority for me.
